Threadfound is a small, invite-only preview. It searches eBay for secondhand clothes and compares each listing's measurements with clothes you already own. This page explains, in plain words, what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Your garments and their measurements. They're saved in your browser. If you sign in, they're also saved to your account so they appear on your other devices.
- Your searches. What you type, and your clothing sizes (like M or 32), are used to search eBay. The search text also appears briefly in our server logs.
- How you use the app. We record which screens you visit and what you do there (searches, filters, listings opened, garments saved, including their measurements), plus recordings of your visits, to see what works and what doesn't. The access password is never recorded.
- Your Google account, if you sign in. Your name, email address and profile photo. We never see your Google password.
- Daily counts of searches and Browse loads, per account or per device, to understand costs.
Who helps us run it
- Vercel hosts the app. Neon stores accounts, saved garments and daily counts.
- PostHog stores usage and recordings.
- Anthropic (Claude) reads your search text and eBay listings to find matches and measurements.
- eBay receives the searches. Google handles sign-in.
Cookies and browser storage
- One remembers that you entered the access password.
- One keeps you signed in, if you have an account.
- A random device ID counts searches for people without an account.
- PostHog keeps an anonymous ID so visits from the same browser connect.
- Your garments are kept in your browser's storage.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data or share it for advertising.
- We don't show ads.
Deleting your data
- Signed in? Delete account on the Profile page removes your account and its saved garments.
- Garments on a device can be removed on the Profile page at any time.
- To have your usage data or recordings deleted, or for anything else, email hello@threadfound.com.
If this page changes, the date at the top changes too.
